It's been a while since I've written and there's been so much that has gone on!
First of all, Texas is WONDERFUL. I absolutely love the house; I wasn't sure if it would really feel like home but it truly does and it's so beautiful. Trophy Club is a cute little town in between Ft. Worth and Dallas. The shopping here is so awesome. There is so much to go do and so much to see...although I don't mind being a little lazy at home :). Christmas was really different this year but it was a good different. We usually are in VA and spend the day with all of my Mom's family but this year it was just my parents and I. We woke up at our own pace, stayed in our pj's all afternoon and went to a movie (which had always been on my bucket list). My Dad and I saw Parental Guidance and I recommend it to everyone because it was heartwarming and hilarious at the same time. Due to just moving in the house a week ago it wasn't the regular Christmas morning with our large tree and room filled with gifts but it has been my favorite so far. We all love gifts (it's the greediness in us all) but I got the chance to really understand that Christmas isn't all about gifts but just being with the ones you love and celebrating the birth of Jesus. Although I told my parents not to get me anything because all I want is for them to save the money for my Africa trip, they still put out some presents for me. It was more than I wished for and I am extremely grateful for what they did. My favorite gift of them was my Kisses from Katie book & inside the book was a hefty check for me for Africa.
Only 3 more sleeps until the Chiesa's come and I couldn't be more excited. The house is a little empty right now but we are having our kitchen table, chairs, and entertainment center delivered tomorrow which should fill up the house a bit! It'll be nice to have a table to eat at but I don't mind the couches for now :)
Parents just got back and I'm pretty sure we are going house shopping (yay). Hope everyone had a very, Merry Christmas!
Xoxo
